In February 2010 seniour students of our school participated in the Enviromental Poetry Contest and here are the winner's poems.


Environmental poems
February 2010

       *   *   *
The lungs of Planet wonldn`t die,
The plants and petals wouldn`t fade,
The seas and rivers wonldn`t dry
If only human went away!

But still remember: we can stop
Collapse we’ve done for all decades
If only on the knees we drop
And don’t continue harmful trades.

We’ll save the forest of the Earth!
We’ll make the air fresh and clean!
We’ll give to nature a rebirth!
We’ll stop this horrible machine!

To the Russian people’s mind
Giving breath to us every day
Our nature is rather kind
It shows us a living way
Though the weather is very cold
We treat it as a father
The environment is our gold
And the nature is our mother

       *   *   *
The little red-haired mermaid
And her little friend the crab
Are dying of pollution
And it is all your fault
Stop causing the pollution
Because it’s very bad!
Long live the pretty mermaid
And her little friend the crab!

Nature & danger
I love the weather in May
When the small birds sing
And we should obey
Those miracles of spring
When all people say
That spring as a king
Makes us sway
On a beautiful swing
When we lose the way
And nature is dying out
You always say
We can’t live without it!

     Rain
Rain is falling
On a train
It’s going away
It’s fading away

Looking out of the window
I see the sky that’s full
Of tears.
I close my eyes
It disappears

I remember the meadows
Of my childhood
They were full
Of magical powers
Produced by
Colourful flowers.

The dream is gone
The train still goes on
I feel the flame
And it is close.
